To be honest, Blender Eyewear is my favorite sunglasses brand. But, this is not the only eyewear brand out there.
There are some other good brands like Shady Rays, Knockaround, and Goodr, which also offer good sunglasses at a reasonable price.
But, today, I want to compare Blenders Eyewear vs Shady Rays, Knockaround, and Goodr, and see which one is the best.
Summary
I have purchased sunglasses from Goodr, Knockaround, Shady Rays, Blenders Eyewear, and a few other brands. So, I think I’m eligible to compare these brands and give you an honest review.
If we talk about quality, style, & durability, I’ll put Blenders Eyewear in the first position. It’s possible that I like their style, but the quality & durability of Blenders sunglasses are better than the Shady Rays. The Goodr & Knockaround sunglasses are also great because they come in the budget-friendly category. But, I was not impressed with Shady Rays.
I ordered sunglasses from Shady Rays, and they took so many days to deliver them as compared to Amazon’s super fast shipping, and the sunglasses were also just fine. I was not impressed with them, and the hinge broke after a few weeks. So, yeah, I had a bad experience with Shady Rays.
If we compare Blenders, Goodr & Knockaround with Shady Rays, I’ll say directly, avoid Shady Rays. You can buy Blenders, Goodr or Knockaround, whichever you like, you’ll not be disappointed, but I didn’t like Shady Rays. Maybe they’re good, but I didn’t like them, so I can’t recommend them.
So, if your budget is $25 to $35, then Goodr & Knockaround are good choices. To be more specific, Goodr will be better, but Knockaround is also good. I really liked Goodr OG Sunglasses & Knockaround Classics, both are awesome and you can’t get better sunglasses than these under $30.
But, if you can afford to spend $40 to $70, then you should definitely buy Blenders sunglasses. In this price range, they’re the best. You can also buy them from their official website. I liked that their shipping is faster than Shady Rays.

Shady Rays’ is much more straightforward than Blenders Eyewear’s humbling background story.
Chris Ratterman already had a goal in mind when he created Shady Rays from a side bedroom in 2012 while his father helped in shipping: to produce affordable eyewear with out-of-this-world quality.

Blenders vs Shady Rays
As someone who has personally tried both Blenders Eyewear and Shady Rays, I must say that my experience with both brands was quite different. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Blenders Eyewear, my encounter with Shady Rays was not that good.
From the moment I received my first Blenders sunglasses (Blenders Nocturnal Q X2), I was impressed by the sleek and stylish design. They offered a wide range of trendy frames and lens options, allowing me to find the perfect pair that matched my personal style.
The quality of the sunglasses was excellent, with sturdy construction and durable materials that felt reliable and long-lasting. The lenses provided exceptional UV protection and clarity, making them ideal for outdoor activities. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the comfortable fit to the attention-grabbing colors and patterns available.
The customer service was also good, as they were responsive and helpful (Yeah, I contacted them before buying their sunglasses). Overall, my experience with Blenders Eyewear was really good.
On the other hand, my encounter with Shady Rays was slightly less than satisfactory. While their sunglasses looked promising online, I found that the actual sunglasses did not live up to my expectations.
The build quality was just satisfactory, with decent frames that felt like they’ll break easily. The lenses lacked the clarity and protection I had hoped for, leaving me disappointed.
They have many different styles, but customer service was not that good. When I tried to reach out to their customer service, I faced long response times, which further added to my disappointment. Overall, my experience with Shady Rays fell short of what I had anticipated.
Overall, I’m happy with the Blenders Eyewear, and I recommend Blenders sunglasses. While Shady Rays can be good, my experience with them is not that good. So, I can’t recommend them to my friends & readers.
Now, I’m a repeat customer of Blenders Eyewear, and recently I purchased Rose Theater and Pacific Grace for myself, and Black Tundra sunglasses for my brother. I’m quite happy with these sunglasses, and I do not have any complaints about them.

Shady Rays vs Knockaround
If we compare Shady Rays with Knockaround, I liked Knockaround more than Shady Rays. The price point of Knockaround sunglasses is incredibly reasonable, without compromising on quality. This allowed me to own multiple pairs without breaking the bank, which is a definite plus for those looking for stylish eyewear on a budget.
In addition to affordability, Knockaround offers a wide range of styles and customization options. Their vast selection of frames, lens colors, and patterns caters to a variety of tastes and preferences. I was able to find sunglasses that perfectly matched my personal style, making me feel confident and fashionable.
Despite their affordable price, I found the construction to be sturdy and reliable. The frames felt durable, and the lenses provided reliable UV protection and clarity. One more thing their sunglasses are polarized.
But, when I purchased them from their official website, then they took many days to ship, so that was not a good thing. So, I decided to buy them from Amazon in the future.
As told earlier, Shady Rays can be good, but my experience with them was bad. The quality of their sunglasses was just fine, and they felt like they’ll not last long. The clarity of the sunglasses was also just okay because if you’re comparing Shady Rays with Knockaround, which is an affordable sunglasses brand, then you expect better quality from Shady Rays.
Mostly I purchase from Amazon, but I couldn’t find Shady Rays on Amazon and on other websites. So, I purchased them from their official website, and they took so many days to deliver my sunglasses. Knockaround also took longer than Amazon, but Shady Rays, oh boy, I was about to cancel my order. I know, you can relate to my situation.
So, if you’re confused between Knockaround and Shady Rays, don’t think, go with Knockaround sunglasses, you’ll thank me later. I’ll suggest trying Knockaround Premium Sunglasses, and also feel free to check their other sunglasses.
If you want to buy $40 to $70 sunglasses, go with Blenders Eyewear instead of Shady Rays.
Goodr vs Blenders vs Knockaround
All the three brands are good. You can buy sunglasses from Blenders, Goodr or Knockaround, you won’t regret your decision.
But, blenders sunglasses are slightly costly as compared to Knockaround & Goodr. You can buy Godor & Knockaround sunglasses for $25 to $35 while Blenders sunglasses cost somewhere around $45 to $70. So, the quality & overall durability of Blenders is slightly better than the other two brands.
So, if you want to stay in budget, go for Knockaround or Goodr. But, if you want to up your game go for Blenders Eyewear.
Remember, all three are good brands, and you’ll get a good value for your money.
Final Thoughts
It’s been a hard-fought battle, of shady rays vs blenders eyewear has shown to be gracious victors through it all.
On a serious note, though, they both have admirable missions to provide for every potential consumer out there instead of only catering to the “higher class,” that’s why they deserve this win.
